An important part of my work with parents is to help them become aware of:
  • intrinsic attachment needs of children in general
  • role of parents in responding to attachment needs
  • factors that help or hinder the healthy response in parenting
In our work together parents will aquire necessary skills to:
  • initiate and strengthen relationship with the children in their care
  • recognize the meaning of the child’s behaviour in relation to their attachment needs
  • recognize and separate their own attachment needs from those of their children
  • respond to the child’s attachment needs in ways that are appropriate in the context of their unique relationship areas
